What Is a Visual Positioning System?
A Visual Positioning System (VPS) is a technology that determines a device's precise position and orientation within a physical space by analyzing camera images in real time. Unlike GPS, which relies on satellites and only works outdoors with meter-level accuracy, VPS uses computer vision to match what the camera sees against a pre-built 3D map of the environment.
